All shapes and sizes!

Just like brake pads, race cars come in all shapes and sizes.. One of the most popular racing cars in Australia is the Hyundai Excel X3! Yes you heard me right – Hyundai Excel.

Fun, cheap and close racing is the name of the game and this little car is growing in popularity. The rules state that modifications are to be kept to a minimum which helps with costs. However one area that is open to competitor choice is brake pad compound. This has helped Winmax to become the pad of choice with outstanding performance and wear rates far superior to the regular pad choices available.

This last weekend in the McAlister Hyundai 1-Hour Endurance Race at Wakefield Park saw great success for Emily Duggan who won the event outright aboard her Penrite/Supashock/Winmax Hyundai Excel. Emily runs Winmax W6.5 pads with great effect.

Emily was pretty excited following the win, commenting “Winmax were perfect from lap 1 to lap 40. It was such a tough battle between myself and 2nd place, there was never a moment to rest and the pads gave me so much confidence to continue to push hard. Great achievement for Winmax!”

It’s worth noting Emily has used only one set of pads all year!

Mike Ridings is a team owner and runs two cars in the category and following the same race commented: “Just want to let you know that I used the new Winmax pads in both my cars on the weekend and they were fantastic. All drivers said it had a great pedal feel and the braking performance was outstanding and was leagues above the previous pads we used”.
